LEVEL DESIGN COLLECTION

As part of my ongoing personal challenge, I create a new Level Design prototype each week on Unreal Engine. The goal is to refine my design workflow, improve my compositing skills, and explore different scene scales — from small clean blockout to larger environments. Although I work professionally, I believe there is always more to learn and improve. This weekly exercise helps me strengthen my skills, experiment, and share progress on ArtStation and LinkedIn.

WOODEN HAVEN

This scene was created in Unreal Engine as both an exercise in composition and a custom wallpaper. My goal was to experiment with a dark, moody atmosphere while telling a story through environment design.

 

By using contrast between fire and shadow, I aimed to guide the viewer’s eye and suggest a narrative of destruction and abandonment. Using the Medieval Village pack, I created a scene that feels like a game screenshot, as if the player is entering a new location.

FORGETTEN MINE

The goal of this scene was to recreate a dusty, sand-covered canyon environment, keeping the atmosphere naturally flat and muted to enhance realism.

 

I integrated a mine entrance using a mix of assets from the OLD WEST and African Slate Quarry packs, blending man-made props with rugged cliffs to evoke an abandoned, time-worn atmosphere. The warm, dusty lighting reinforces the feeling of a site slowly reclaimed by the desert.
